Texas GLC is a non-profit, non-governmental organization founded in 1994. What does that mean? It means 1) we are an organization that does not profit from our work and 2) we are not a part of state or federal government, although we have historically accepted federal funds through USDA-NRCS contribution agreements and grants. We are governed and guided by a board of active ranch owners and managers, our regional coalitions are led by volunteers, we have one part time executive director, and six part time contracted experts. Our team all share a passion for stewardship of grazing lands.

With federal budgets tightening across the board, and in order to further our work, we have pursued more private dollars in recent years. This has resulted in partnerships with donors like the Walmart Foundation and others. While we are proud of these partnerships, we still have lots of ground to cover to be able to operate at the next level.
