It may seem like we repeat soil health principles, but they cannot be emphasized enough! As summer months approach, that bare ground will literally cook in the hot sun, destroying the bacteria, fungi that are absolutely necessary for aggregate stability (think effective infiltration of precipitation) and nutrient availability to plants.
